Notes

Discover all the beauty and magnificent nature Kakadu National Park has to offer with this awesome AAT Kings Day Trip. Be amazed by the spectacular and diverse landscape of this national park, from mangrove fringed coastal areas to far reaching flood plains, lowland hills and forest habitats. No two places are the same here, and you'll be amazed at every turn!

On top of that, there's heaps of wildlife waiting to be encountered at Kakadu National Park, from land to air. The absolute highlights of this tour include witnessing ancient Aborginal rock art at Nourlangie, discovering the birdlife of the Kakadu wetands, spotting crocodiles on a Yellow Water Billabong Cruise and learning about the Bininj people at the Warradjan Cultural Centre. Experiencing this stunning World Heritage Site will be an unforgettable experience!

So what does this amazing day look like? You'll have an early start, travelling along one of the longest roads in Australia: the Stuart Highway. Passing by stunning terrain, we make our way onto Arnhem HIghway where the Marrakai Plains create a spectacular setting for this roadtrip... Destination? Kakadu, with it's 19,800 square kilometres, the largest National Park in Australia!

With its diverse landscape, hundreds of bird species, thousands of different insects and plants and a concentration of Aboriginal rock art sites, this truly is a magical place... With this tour you'll get to wander around the Nourlangie rock art site, a place that has provided shelter to indigenous people for thousands of years. The rock was a canvas for their spiritual culture, all of which you can discover during the 1.5km walk around the base of the rock.

Next up, it's time for some lunch before you join your local guide for a crocodile cruise on the Yellow Water Billabong. Keep your eyes open during your journey on these stunning yellow waters, 'cause they're home to thousands of saltwater crocodiles. On top of that there's up to 60 species of colourful and majestic birdlife to be discovered during your cruise.

On top of all that, we visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to introduce you to the way of life of the Bininj people, the custodians of Kakadu National Park.
